Washington D-C – Senator Craig Thomas plans to support President Bush's nominee to head up the National Park Service. Mary Bomar has worked in the northeast region of the Park service since 2005. Thomas admits he's a little concerned that Bomar has little knowledge of places like Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. But he is confident she will be able to get up to speed.
Thomas is encouraged that Bomar has an understanding of some of the financial difficulties facing some of the parks and she pledged to try and address the backlog of construction projects that are needed.
