Laramie, Wy – The signing of the Energy bill is being praised by Wyoming's congressional delegation and by those in the oil and gas industry. However, Wyoming's Consumer Advocate Bryce Freeman says it will do little for your heating and electric bills. " I don't think it will end up reducing energy bills for consumers. I think what it will do is end up not causing them to go up as much as they would otherwise...if it was just business as usual."
But Freeman is a little more optimistic about the long term prospects of increased energy development. He thinks eventually consumers will see some benefits, especially as the country looks at new ways to address energy needs.
