Amendments Benefit Wyomingites
Laramie, Wy – Wyoming's senators got some earmarks on recent bills that directly benefit their constituents.
Senator Craig Thomas worked with Montana's Max Baucus to add language to the bill extending the Wool Research Trust Fund.
That fund provides grant money for promotion of domestic wool. And Thomas says the program has helped Wyoming ranchers improve their markets both at home and abroad.
Thomas also worked with fellow Wyoming Senator Mike Enzi to temporarily suspend the duty on certain acrylic fiber tow. An Evanston company imports that fiber from Japan to manufacture carbon fiber for graphite golf club shafts and other products.
