More to come

WYOMING PUBLIC MEDIA, the parent of WPR and all public broadcasting audio and internet services at the University of Wyoming,
has now converted all of its transmitters from analog to digital, HD radio. This new technology provides interference free, high quality sound.  Listeners with HD radios will now automatically be tuned to the digital signal.  An "HD" icon on the radio's display will confirm that the digital signal has been acquired. If a car or home HD radio loses the HD signal, it will automatically tune the legacy analog signal.

Listeners with existing analog radios will continue to receive WYOMING PUBLIC RADIO as they always have. This transition to digital HD Radio will not affect your ability to listen with the analog radios you now have at home and in your vehicle.

Listeners with an HD Radio tuner will be able to enjoy the benefits of digital quality sound, improved signal reception and greater programming choices. The HD Radio platform allows WYOMING PUBLIC MEDIA to expand our level of service to you with a completely new second radio channel. Digital HD technology uses the current radio spectrum more efficiently to transmit with new, higher-quality digital signals which can also carry distinctive new programming channels.
